I'm about to share something deeply personal, but if it helps even one person going through a dark time, it's worth it.

Perfect Bible:
CHECK AVAILABILITY

Three months ago, my world fell apart when my husband had a massive stroke. One minute we were planning our anniversary trip, the next I was in an ICU waiting room being told he might not make it through the night.

For weeks, I lived at that hospital. Sleeping in chairs. Eating vending machine food. Watching machines breathe for the man I'd loved for 32 years. The doctors were cautious with their words, but their eyes told me everything: the road ahead would be long, and there were no guarantees.

I'd always considered myself a woman of faith, but...

in those sterile hallways, surrounded by beeping monitors and hushed conversations, I felt completely hollow.

I tried to pray, but the words wouldn't come. I'd open my phone to read a verse, but I couldn't focus. Everything felt distant, like God had stepped away right when I needed Him most.

My sister visited on day twelve. She found me in the chapel - not praying, just sitting there, numb.

"Have you been reading Scripture?" my sister asked gently.

I shook my head. "I can't. Every time I try, my mind just... scatters. I read the same verse five times and don't absorb a single word."

She reached into her bag and pulled out a book I'd never seen before. Beautiful cover with her name embossed in gold. "Take mine for today," she said. "Just try."

She handed it to me, and I noticed immediately how different it was. The pages were thick, the print was large and clear. But what struck me most were the margins - generous space filled with her handwritten notes, prayers, underlined verses.

"It's designed for moments like this," she said softly. "When you need God's Word but your brain can't handle tiny print and overwhelming pages."

I was skeptical, but sitting there alone after she left, I opened it anyway...

My eyes landed on the highlighted verses, Mark 4:35-41. Next to the passage, I saw a question:

Mark 4:35-41: In what storm of life do you feel like Jesus doesn’t care that you’re drowning?

Reading those words, they hit me with full force. It was exactly what I needed to hear. I broke down in tears, but it was a moment of pure relief.

That night, I sat by my husband's bedside and read aloud. I could read without straining my eyes. I could write in the margins: "Lord, I need You now." The act of writing, of marking the page, made it feel real. Personal. Like I was actually talking to God instead of just reading at Him.

When my sister came back to get her Bible, I asked her where she got it.

"Perfect Bible," she said. "I ordered it online last year when Mom was sick. It's the only thing that got me through."

That night, from the hospital parking lot, I ordered my own. When it arrived two days later with my name on the cover, I immediately started transferring the verses I'd marked in my sister's copy. Adding my own prayers. My own fears. My own desperate pleas for God to save my husband.

It's been three months now and my husband recovered.

He's in rehab, relearning how to walk, how to speak clearly. It's slow, exhausting work. But every morning before I drive to see him, I spend thirty minutes with this Bible. Reading. Writing. Praying.

The nurses have started asking me about it. "What are you always writing in that book?" one asked last week.

"Prayers," I told her. "And God's promises. So when I feel like I'm drowning again, I can look back and remember He's still here."

She got quiet. Then: "My mom just got diagnosed with cancer. I've been trying to pray but I don't even know where to start."

I told her about Perfect Bible. About how the clear print and note-taking space makes Scripture feel accessible even when your world is falling apart. How writing your prayers makes them feel more real than just thinking them.

What I discovered later was that it also comes with a companion app. Whenever I hit a difficult passage, I use it for a quick explanation. It’s incredibly convenient and just makes the Bible so much easier to understand.

Few days later, she showed me hers—already filled with highlighted verses and tearstained prayers in the margins.

I'm sharing this because I know someone reading this is in a hospital right now. Or caring for someone who's sick. Or walking through a valley so dark you can't see God anymore.

The Perfect Bible won't fix your circumstances. It won't heal your loved one or take away your pain.

But it will give you a way to hold onto God's Word when everything else is falling apart. Clear print you can read through tears. Space to pour out your heart. A format that invites you in instead of overwhelming you.

Note: They are currently running a special 70% discount. I’ve already ordered three more as gifts for people in my church who are going through hard times.

If you're in the middle of the storm right now, don't try to white-knuckle it alone. Get the Bible that's designed for the hardest seasons of life.

You'll never look at Scripture the same way again—especially when you need it most.

I know Emily and I remember when she was struggling so much, and it felt like nothing could help. But after she found her way back to God, everything changed. She’s more peaceful, more focused, and truly living in God’s grace now. Her faith shines through in everything she does.
